When trying to create a Sales Order, providing the test stripe credit card details and clicking
Verify, I get the following error:
Payment verification failed
Public key needs to be entered in the configuration settings. Contact technical support.
The Payment Details of the Commerce Settings section has no option to provide a key, since this was done before:

There is a new flow when connecting to Stripe.
Now you should have a Stripe account, and when clicked on "ACTIVATE STRIPE CONNECT" button on this page you will be redirected to Stripe page. Once connected you will be able to switch between

Thanks @Nemanja. I was hesitant to follow this flow, because after the click on ACTIVATE STRIPE CONNECT, it redirects me to a form for setting up my Stripe account. That form requires bank information, something which I would like to avoid providing for a test system. Additionally, the previous flow allowed to connect Stripe as a payment method, without providing any additional bank details.
We need a payment method created in order to complete the Sales Order creation process in the CECenter. So, as a follow up, is there any way we can add any payment provider to our test project without providing any bank details?
